I haven't typed my Account Password since I made the account last week, with closing the browser and opening it multiple times a day. This 1Password 8 generation doesn't seem to have that issue. I hated it (back when I was first considering leaving LastPass and refused). I believe that used to be a problem with 1Password X, their prior-generation extension. I actually forgot to mention: you click the 1P button in the field (a button BW does not have, FWIW), and then just start typing a search term into the username field & it'll filter the list of logins & you can use the keyboard 100% from there. 1Password, IMHO, has a more complete app: QR scanning, drag & drop, more keyboard shortcuts, and feels native.Īh, yes, definitely not a dealbreaker. One of my family members is a heavy desktop-only password manager user.1P doesn't yet have subdomain filtering added in beta last month, so maybe Jan 2023?.Still sad 1Password doesn't have it, but making do. I love Bitwarden's CTRL+SHIFT+L auto-fill & have used for years.This, plus TOTP auto-fill, has made some family members that didn't like 2FA into trying it. It can actually add QR codes via desktop by capturing them on the screen. 1Password has, IMHO, easier 2FA setup.I never want to need it, but damn it, it'll be a godsend the day I need it. 1Password allows designated Family members to act as "Managers" that can actually reset Account Passwords (aka Master Passwords) for other family members.It's a crutch, but for people that cannot or won't remember long, random, secure passwords, the Secret Key prevents everything going to hell if there's a Vault breach. 1Password has a Secret Key, which adds encryption to poor passwords.I couldn't find similar features in Bitwarden, so for now, we're on 1Password.
